Why I'm Starting on Substack
Opening up as much of my research as possible...so my head doesn't explode.
From the moment in my career when I felt like it was an option to do so, I’ve focused my work on topics or areas where I was either interested to learn more, or was passionate about making an impact. I feel very lucky that I’ve ended up in a position to be able to make those choices, and I hope that continues to be the case.
This has repeatedly landed me in a lot of places that I often can’t believe that I’m in, working deeply on a pretty broad range of topics. What started out as chasing random interests, though, has started to seem, dare I say, rational in hindsight.
At this point, I’ve spent years working with technology startups, helping to create programs for them to grow. But throughout, I was also working in international development, facilitating connections between UN agencies in public health and vaccination programs. I’ve worked with climate scienti…
